The new flagship of the LD systems amplifier series is called the PA1600X. In an attempt to fulfil the wishes of our customers, we have extended the LD range to include a more powerful amplifier that can also be used with a 2 Ohm output. The important features are: 2x 1500W in 2 Ohm, 2 x 1100W in 4 Ohm and 2 x 700W in 8 Ohm. Like the smaller models, the PA1600 uses a class H configuration with bi-polar transistors and a conventional power supply. The circuit protection is identical to the PA1000. The cooling fan is also temperature controlled in two stages. Special features include a low-cut filter and a switchable lo-pass filter adjustable up to 1200 Hz, so that the amplifier can be used as a sub-bass driver without the necessity of a separate crossover.
